OHIMA 2022 Annual Meeting & Trade Show

OHIMA22 COVID & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Do not attend OHIMA22 in person if you feel ill or had recent exposure to a COVID case. Contact OHIMA if you need to transfer your registration from in-person to virtual.

What is the COVID waiver?
Any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19 and OHIMA cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed while attending the event. During registration, in-person attendees, speakers and exhibitors must agree to follow OHIMA's safety policies, as well as federal, state and local laws and restrictions surrounding COVID-19. Those onsite at the conference must also assume the risk of attending and release OHIMA of liability. READ THE FULL COVID WAIVER HERE.

Will masks be required?
The venue, the Hilton Columbus at Easton, resides within Columbus city limits. As of March 7th, the City of Columbus lifted its indoor mask mandate. Therefore, it will be up to the individual attendee if they wish to wear a mask at OHIMA22. We encourage everyone to do what makes them feel most comfortable and safe.

Are COVID vaccinations required?
While many individuals attending the conference are vaccinated because they work in healthcare institutions, OHIMA will not be requiring or checking vaccination statuses.

What are the COVID safety measures surrounding OHIMA22?
The Hilton Easton has implemented “Clean Stay” measures throughout the hotel and meeting spaces. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Lysol is used to clean all high touch areas in both the sleeping rooms and meeting space
- Lysol dispensers are located at all elevators
- Hand sanitizing stations are located in all high traffic areas of the hotel
- All tables and chairs will be disinfected in meeting rooms
- All culinary staff and banquet staff will wear gloves and masks

OHIMA will offer boxed lunches. Breakfast and receptions will have “grab and go” options if attendees don’t wish to utilize buffets.

Choose your dot to indicate your comfort level!
During onsite registration, there will be an opportunity for attendees to choose a colored dot sticker for their name badges. Dot colors help conference attendees communicate their level of comfort in interacting with one another. The dot colors are as follows:
RED DOT: Social Distancing
YELLOW DOT: Elbow Bumps
GREEN DOT: Handshakes and Hugs

As we navigate getting back to in-person events, please respect individual preferences and ask about individual preferences before approaching attendees!
