
OHIMA23 Research Showcase
Showcase your research at the 2023 OHIMA Annual Meeting & Trade Show (March 20-22, 2023) in Columbus, Ohio! OHIMA is now accepting submissions for student, graduate and professional level research. Submit your published or non-published research on a variety of topics related to HIIM.
*All research posters will be displayed within OHIMA23’s conference app, Whova, and on the OHIMA website. While we will advertise the Research Poster Showcase onsite at OHIMA23, physical posters will not be displayed onsite at the Hilton Easton. In January, all participants will be sent a customized link for you to upload your poster information into Whova.
By December 15th, submit your intent to participate in the OHIMA23 Research Showcase by clicking the survey link below and submitting basic information.

For reference, the below is the information that Whova will accept for each poster submission:

WHO IS ELIGIBLE
STUDENT category: Any Associate, Bachelor or Graduate level current student or any graduate who has graduated within the last year from a CAHIIM accredited program
EDUCATOR category: Any full-time, part-time or adjunct faculty currently teaching in a Health Informatics and Health Information Management (HIM) educational program
HIM PROFESSIONAL category: Any credentialed HIM professional
POTENTIAL TOPICS
Any HIIM topic will be accepted. HIIM domains as indicated by AHIMA's Recertification Guide (Appendix A) are as follows:
- Data Structure, Content, and Information Governance
- Information Protection: Access, Disclosure, Archival, Privacy and Security
- Informatics, Analytics, and Data Use
- Revenue Cycle Management
- Health Law and Compliance
- Organizational Management and Leadership
- Clinical Foundations
- Evolving Topics/Other HIIM Relevant Topics
Showcase participants can use previous innovative projects, research or assignments, or best practices as the basis for your research topic.
